My ever-generous
(and long suffering) family allowed me more than a few moments for birding during
an afternoon stroll along the banks of Draycote Reservoir.
Highlights
included 120+ lapwing flying by in two parties; a mixed flock of rooks, jackdaws,
stock dove, yellowhammers and chaffinches
in a nearby ploughed field (still no brambling evident); and 10 goldeneye.
Short but sweet.
Short but sweet.
